C Wear Swimwear - Good For The Planet

Our swimwear is made from fabric that achieves it’s maximum SPF sun protective qualities through the sun protective fibres and the tight knitting construction within our fabrics. The controlled consistency with knitting of our fabrics ensures that there are minimal deviations from the mean quality.

No chemicals!!

The sun protective qualities are not created using chemicals and this is the C Wear swimwear difference.

Our supplier is a fabric innovator with ISO 9002 and Target Australia accreditation. They deal only in sun protective fabrics.
The fabrics we use also meet the standard for Okeotex Standard 100 accredited products.
The Okeotex Standard is a global testing and accreditation scheme for the screening of harmful substances within consumer textiles and was developed in 1992 by a group of European textile institutes.
It is the dominant consumer focused global player in the textile Eco-labeling field with over 48,000 certificates having been issued world wide since its inception. This equates to over 5,000 manufacturers and over 1 million licensed products.

We insist on manufacturing products to this standard.

Why?

Many leading manufacturers and high street retailers choose to work to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, regarding it as the industry benchmark in the field of human ecology, since it provides a comprehensive and fastidiously scrutinized screening scheme, which sets stricter limits than current EC legislation on banned or restricted use substances used in textile manufacture. The scheme also includes substances considered to be harmful but which are yet to be banned by legislation such as certain pesticides.
Examples of other harmful substances screened include:

  • Banned Carcinogenic Dyestuffs
  • Allergenic Dyestuffs
  • Extractable Heavy Metals
  • Flame Retardants
  • Formaldehyde
  • Loose Dye/Colour
  • Organo-tin Compounds
  • Phthalates (plasticizers)
  • Chlorinated Aromatic Compounds
  • Volatile Organics

C Wear Australia does not, under any circumstances, support the use of child labour or the support of sweat shops.

All our products are manufactured in Australia and as such, all our labour arrangements are governed by the legislation of Australia. We have deliberately resisted the idea of moving our manufacturing to. Asia in the pursuit of the dollar at the expense of people’s working lives and working conditions.

Please support us by ensuring that you avoid products where sweatshop or forced child labor is used in the manufacturing of the products.

As informed consumers, you have the power to do your bit to support an economy where child labor and sweatshops cease to exist.

C Wear Australia – an Australian manufacturer that deals responsibly and ethically in all that it does.
